1998 GMC 3500 Blue Bird short bus not starting

I am a newbie here and would appreciate any insight to my problem. I recently purchased a 1998 GMC shorty to used for tailgaiting and concert trips. The bus ran beautifully on its ride home, 200 + miles. Went to move it to start the customization and it won't start. I swapped out the battery thinking the battery may be old. All interior lights and dash light up. When I turn the key the dash buzzer comes on the dash lights, light up as they should. But when I try to crank it-nothing. I here a clicking noise above the driver seat in the accessory panel. There appears to be a solenoid? in the panel. Could this be the problem? I have had 2 other buses before, but they were not as new as this one. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Solenoid above your head is probably for the "coach" power and not part of the starting circuit. At least that's how mine is.
I had a similar problem and traced it to the starter motor on my 1997 e350 shuttle bus. I replaced the starter and now it cranks everytime. Whats your engine??

Thanks for the advice. The starter was going to be my next step, but I do not look forward to changing it. I had 1994 e350 shuttle bus before this one with a 460 in it. It was a beast.

Did you lock any emergency exits?

Good question Cal....seems like since it ran no problem before and now a problem that some switch is on/off that is preventing this bus from starting. Check doors, windows, roof hatches and make sure they are locked/unlocked as required when going down the road.

I just read another thread where someone ripped out all the wires and now the bus don't start. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DON'T EAT NO MEAT? That's OK, I make lamb. Sorry, I got sidetracked.

that would be me, some windows/ doors have a second lock, they have to be open so the emergency exits will open. leave the key on and mess with locks till the buzzer goes away. should have a buzzer by the lock you need to open or shut. there very mean here i can hear everyone laughing as i type
