1999 Chevy Express G3500 Shuttle Bus Project

I'm finally just getting around to joining The Forum. I got a deal on a 99 Chevy G3500 shuttle bus that's been converted to propane and I'm having issues with the "Poliauto" vaporizer(?) set-up and just want to convert this thing back to gas and ditch the propane system all together. Trying to find a 55 gallon fuel tank for the Cutaway chassis and I'm coming up blank. Not sure if my search is wrong but everything always
comes up "not for cutaway chassis." Can someone point me in the right direction to a part number for a 55 gallon fuel tank for a gas 5.7 liter Vortec?
*Could also do 31 or 35 gallons, but ideally would like to fit the most capacity possible. I guess it doesn't have to be an "exact" fit. I could retrofit mounting straps, etc, and play around a bit.
I think my biggest issue searching is I have no idea what was originally installed before the conversion.

I don't blame you for wanting to swap out LPG for gasoline, for many reasons.
The good thing is the internals of your engine should be really clean if it was LPG fueled its entire life.

On a gasoline tank:
You might have to search for one in the junkyard.
There are also many generic fuel tanks that can be mounted to your chassis.
The filler tube and location on the outer skin will be the challenge, unless you can harvest one complete from a matching/similar gasoline fueled donor vehicle.

Are you going to run a carburetor or fuel injection?
Going to carb will simplify your conversion, but injected will likely give you better MPG.

Thanks and I just now realized I had started a post over a year ago when I first got this thing.
Its terrible to be that busy that I completely forgot a whole 22-reply thread.
Yeah the problem I'm finding is something that's even similar to copy. Are box Vans the same with a cutaway chassis? So if I find a 1999 G3500 box van, will that be the same, or will whoever does the shuttle bus conversions completely change stuff? If I could find the exact vehicle that would be awesome just to visually see what it's all supposed to look like, but that's about impossible around here. This one came from a shuttle bus company at the Atlanta airport from what I understand originally. All of the fuel injection equipment is still there, just not utilized. I think ar minimum I need a tank, filler neck, fuel pump, probably linea, and then I'm not sure what on the engine is actually unhooked or removed when they did the conversion.
