Tell me about your cell tower batteries. They look interesting.

Re: 1999 Goshen 15 passenger rv conversion

The batteries are Powersafe sbs100. They retailed new for over $450. I paid only $15 each at a recycling place my buddy owns. They were only 2 years old. The cell phone company replaces them when warranty expires is what he told me. He said that they should be good for 10 to 12 years.

I have decided to also add 2 Trojan T105 batteries. They mount underneath the bus. I found a solar controller that charges 2 battery banks at once, once one bank is full then it charges the other. This will allow me to have two seperate battery banks and 2 separate inverters. This will actually give me three banks if you include the starting battery that I am replacing with a marine battery. The alternator will charge t105s along with 2 100 watt panels on top. I just purchased a 125watt solar suitcase in the event I want to park in the shade.

I still have not painted walls. Torn between using carpet on walls vs paint.
