I got pulled over near Woodland, CA. This is the bus I was driving and I had a trailer behind it.

Looks nice. I don't know why you are worried about the yellow. You barely have any left.

Bus is looking nice!! I need to turn my thoughts towards painting, too. You're lucky to have a steady hand and artistic vision! I have dreams of doing some sort of painted design, but the best my fingers can muster up are stick-men and lollipop trees.

Yeh, I can't see having any complaints about that much yellow.. If you did get a ticket I would certainly bring it to court with pictures. The officer would have to be a real anal-retentive prick to stop you for it.

Anecdotally, I've been driving around with the full front cowl still in SBY for quite some time. No problems. Even before that I only had the lower half of the bus (what I could easily reach) spray painted. From below the windows and all the way up was still SBY, but the vehicle definitely did NOT look like a school bus with that hack-job spray job. I think that's the big point: it shouldn't look like a school bus.
Especially if you have a good friend who's house you are prone to parking out front of and happens to live next to a pre-school as I do. One day while having a party there I gave everyone spray cans and let them go at the bus. One friend wrote, "Free candy" with an arrow pointing towards the door! With a couple drinks in the belly it was pretty damn funny... but I covered it up quickly the next day

Sweet, some bling is always nice!

Stainless rims caps?

SBY doesn't seem to apply here, brother in law drove a shorty for his flower business until he sold it a few years later. Had to remove "SCHOOL BUS" wigwag off the front and the stop sign.

You going to mural the whole bus? ....looks great so far.

LMAO, That's something my buddies would have written, always seems funnier with a couple of pops in the system.

Looking forward to your report back from MV. Im going through that process now. Getting it ready for inspection. Did they need to see a shower too?

No prob. Alan! BTDT...

But I might as well answer: The AZ MV folks were very accommodating and helpful. I had the shower pan just laying on the floor to show intent, a propane camp stove on an old dresser, a electric cord for power, the fridge was strapped to a wall and a Little Buddy heater was on the floor.
The MV guys were very interested in the project, more so than the "requirements" for title change.

Hey thanks for the reply! I'm new to this bus and forum thing and saw your first post and got excited about your inspection I guess. I just want to get it passed and then convert it the way I want. Again, thank you.

Got a pic from further back, with the whole bus?....looks great.

What's the bolt pattern of a small bus? I've got a set of stainless rim/hub caps from a "HINO" straight truck that I'm not using.....any chance they're close?

Hi
As others have said, I too will say that the paint job is great!!! It is so much fun to be creative. Never try to fit into a mold.

I'd screw up straight roll on paint by myself
