2001 E450 5 Window Help

So, I am looking at picking up a 2001 3450 5 window short bus with a 7.3 diesel with under 200k miles tomorrow afternoon. Anyone know what I should be looking for or could tell me what its worth? I will be trading my offload tent trailer I built for it so i can start on a rv conversion.

Would love to know your thoughts on these things. I want to do a 4x4 conversion from u joint offroad within the next 12 months once i save up for it and the conversion is done. I also want to be able to tow my jeep with it to some of the trails every once in while.

Thanks in advance!.

PS How fast will this thing cruise at?

Is that in southern California.? the pictures look familiar it was going around $5700.? you are looking at well over 10k for 4x4 conversion, unless you do it your self, plus you have to get front and rear gears to match, as well as balance the drive shaft. etc.. are 100% sure you want to drop that money into this.? if this is going to be your full timer you might want to think about the possibility of destroying it while 4x4in some were. Good luck on your build hope to see pics soon.

Mostly want 4x4 for the mountains (snow) and for some of the dirt roads i explore on the regular. Nothing to crazy but enough to need 4x4 in some sections. I would be doing it all my self so it shouldn't be to bad finding dana 60 at the junk yard etc.

How did you go about getting insurance for yours here in so-cal. Thats whats stopping me from going to pick this thing up. Also I would be trading for this and have about 3k into what I'm trading

I am still debating if i want 4x4 in mine. i dont have insurance on mine yet i only drive to and from work. i am going to get the insurance after i get interior done and get the title switched to motorhome status. i wouldent pay more than $ 4500 for that bus tho.
