Glad you enjoyed that M.
Have to ask...how are you doing in the weather "up there"? I am imagining a more than subtle shift from what you have been used to down here near the Coast. That said, Houston has been absolutely miserable for the past couple of weeks and it appears it will stay that way for a while. Cold (well...for the Tropics anyway) and wet. Really unpleasant to try and work in a damp, unheated shop. Well, at least the bus is indoors. But I really HATE the cold & wet combo. I'l take 100 degrees any day. At least in the heat, my joints move and old bones don't ache.

Tango,
I've wired the trailer for heat and light. Next step is to insulate the ceiling and walls. The sub-floor is being paused so I can get the trailer done. After that it's get the radiator from Best Radiator in Hays and re-install when Jacob has a chance. The weather there has been rather interesting. Some days we've actually been warmer than you guys, other times (like last night) we were below zero. For an old Hoosier, this is about par for course. My knees are a bit sensitive, but NOTHING like they were further east. The lack of humidity makes the aches more bearable. So far I've only had one evening of knee pain. So I'm considering myself blessed. I agree, 100* is better, but I can easily do without the humidity. I'm completely off my Bi-PAP, lost about 12 pounds, breathe easier, and have more energy since arriving here. Yeah, waking up to -2* is NOT fun, but without the biting cold more humid places provide, I believe I can handle it. Any time you want to visit, you're more than welcome to hang out!
M

Sounds like you are rockin' on! Keep after it and post more pix.
And yeah...the humidity can make a huge difference. Only been down in the upper 30's here but the dampness has people from Chicago & Minnesota complaining about how "cold" it is. As with the heat, the humidity just amplifies the way everything feels.
I have threatened for years to make up some Houston T-shirts that read...
"Yes...but it's a wet heat."

I am totally on board with you there Christopher. I will never, ever understand why ANYONE lives in Minnesota...or Canada...or anywhere the ground freezes down several feet. I'll take' palm trees and warm sand (and rum) any day.

Incremental progress, but looks like very important details have been taken care of the last several months, also really glad to see you and the bus made it through Harvey intact.
As a more *cough* insulated fellow I can adapt to the heat, but this kind of cold is just a bit much. Once my feet get cold it's game over though and that's been the struggle the last several days with this deep freeze we've had in west central Ohio. This morning I woke up with an ache in my bad hip, many of you will argue that I'm too young for such foolery. Somethings never heal right, no matter what you do though, still gotta keep moving onward.

To all of you weather wimps:
You need to come to Montana. This morning, it was -7ş outside with about a foot of white, lumpy rain on the ground.

Hate having no fingers, either. but gloves with Thinsulate don't seem to be doing the job. Don't even want to thing about wind chill. I had some really decent winter gloves, but my brothers threw them away.

How's this? If you pick up a wrench to fix your bus during freezing weather, you'll wish you had gloves.
We had tough guys that didn't need gloves, but they found they couldn't put a wrench down because it stuck to their palm. Ahhhh, good times.
