I am NOT a sports fan but did enjoy that whole, crazy series. Seems like between the two teams they broke every World Series record there was.

Maybe we should look into whether this series holds the record for braking the most records!?

Tango... I got some under the chassis pictures on that ol bus that I showed you. To my uneducated eyes, it looks pretty decent. If I can figure out how to post them, from my new phone, I will. If not I may contact you, meet at Rehab, and show them to you. I'm going to try and go check it out, soon. Kinda getting that tingly, Chris Matthew feeling. (as sick as that sounds)

One angled fitting on each component and a synflex hose would have done the same job. Turn them towards the bottom and hook em up. When designing fluid handling the rule is: make the fewest number of connections as possible. Also invest in a set of 4-way angle wrenches.see snap on #vs 24 for a picture of one my set goes to 2" and no you can't borrow.

1OL --- that rig looks like it is definitely worth checking out and the price is right. And you know me...I'll be attending the meetings at REHAB most every afternoon/evening.

Golfer --- I looked into a flexhose fitting but because location is so tight, the local Cummins tech was more concerned with it constantly rubbing up against the motor mount. These 4 bangers are notorious for the amount of shaking they do on startup and shutdown.

Meanwhile...

I am looking at the possibility of completely redoing the master cylinder arrangement I have built and installed. Due to more space issues, I went with a racecar solution using a Wilwood hydraulic clutch unit to operate the large and remotely located Corvette master cylinder. Took care of cramming 10 pounds of stuff into the 1 pound bag I'm working with but just leaves me cold. It will work, no doubt about that, but the idea of everything riding on a single piston and seal gave me a few nights of restless sleep. In other words, it that clutch unit blows out...there is absolutely nothing left to operate the brakes. Zero, zilch, nada. It effectively turns a modern, dual pot master into an old fashioned single pot system. I knew that going in, but rationalized the racecar solution. Problem is, this ain't no racecar. It will (hopefully) spend many years on the road...not an hour or so a month on a track. It will need to safely descend 11 degree switchbacks and deal with hours of everyday stop & go traffic. Most "racecars" are rebuilt practically from the ground up on a regular basis. I need systems that will safely endure long term wear & tear with minimal maintenance.

I've spent the past few days probing & measuring everything in, under and around the cowl & chassis to try and come up with an all mechanical linkage that operates the master directly from the pedal. It's gonna be tricky but I think I may be able to pull it off.

It is painful to abandon anything on a build you already have time & money in, but sometimes you have to back up a bit in order to move ahead.

I'm just guessing here, but I imagine that with all the hotrods Christopher has built, he may have had to backtrack on some little thing, somewhere along the way.

Oh well...back at it.
