If you had 2 good tires on the left side of the trailer you could have put one on the right rear and made it home on 2.

the last couple pics from me swapping the front axle was just a couple weeks ago. never been blue.
no the weight of the bus would push the other drums down into the ground. just too much weight for that trailer. with only 2 tires it really would only be rated for 3k lbs. the trailer weights that.

I saw another post today of a blue and white 4x4 just like yours. Since your post is from old build I assumed it was the same bus as they both posted today.

Really an impressive build, thanks for sharing. You guys should start a business building them, sounds like there are buyers out there.
Well done.

Nice build! How much does yours weigh? Need to re-weight mine after the conversion.
How tall to the bottom of the bus portion of the body n what's your mileage? I'm roughly 10mpg at 60 on the highway and around town. Was at 15 before the 4X4 conversion with a tune n 4 inch straight pipe T.B. exhaust.

never took it ac across any scales yet. probably close to 8k. not sure what you mean but its about 9ft tall and its got around 10in of lift over where a stock e350 sits. mpg im not sure. its got a huge tank so filling it fully is quite painful and was only done once.

As a certified auto AND aircraft mechanic for 40 years I can see you did a good job in this project. Just wondering if it would have been easier to get a 4x4 industrial truck chassis and drop a bus body on it.
There has to be lots of power company service trucks available.
Just wondering....

A 4x4 truck chassis that is long enough will be hard to find and will command a premium price. Have been looking for one for over 3 years.
For those who only need a shorty, the easiest route is to convert a Ford Econoline cutaway chassis to 4x4. There are several companies offering kits or the entire conversion if you don't have the skills of the OP.

Saweeett!! I started gathering parts to build up a big ol blue bird or something a couple years ago. I really appreciate info like yours to help with ideas and parts selecting when I hit the craigs and/or junk yards.
