4x4 installation on a 30 Passenger Chevy Midbus?
Does anyone know where to find a mechanic who installs 4x4 on school buses?

Check Google. There's a place in Colorado or somewhere near there that does 4x4 conversions on buses. Better have a ton of money though.

That seems like a non-answer answer.

Respectfully, I am not comfortable talking about or giving hints about my social location and financial status. It is not a "best practice". I am thankful for the string and list of providers of said services. Again, Thank you!

Well, Chevy Midbus in the topic title does seem to indicate a certain chassis. The linked providers are known to work on said chassis.

That's understandable. But you have to realize quite a few people ask this, and those that do are the type of person that bought a $2000 bus and then think they can get a 4wd upgrade done for a few grand more.
In reality, it takes experience and a pretty extensive fabrication back ground to do such an upgrade. So when people hear that it will cost several thousand dollars, those dreams are dashed and the project never materializes.
In the end, most people truly don't need 4wd for a pleasure vehicle.

Oh, and to answer your question then.
Monroe truck equipment can likely do it.
As will tulsa truck conversion.
You can google both of those names and it should bring something up.

I have recently learned that a 4x4 on a full length bus is a no go. The wheels are to far apart and would cause damage to the tires.

I am not a mechanic nor an engineer. Someone on this website made the comment that it would have "too much traction". I deduced that the length of he bus and the engaged 4x4 would damage the tires.

Makes no sense, what is different if on a shorter wheel base? What is causing the damage to the tires?

Here is a 4x4 bus on the Kalispell MT craigslist for pretty cheap for what it is. 4x4 buses are very rare and not common.
