Re: 97 E350 20 Pass Bus Conversion

No updates in the past few months. It's snowmobile season and now I'm tinkering with sleds. I'll get back into it this spring. My next addition is going to be a jack knife sofa and some more cabinets.

Re: 97 E350 20 Pass Bus Conversion

I'm just getting started in CO, bought a Chevy G30 34-seat short bus today. Would you mind sharing the steps you took for CO registration? I'm just about hyperventilating after reading some horror stories about bus fees and insurance.

Re: 97 E350 20 Pass Bus Conversion

Don't worry. It's pretty easy. I had a harder time because I didn't buy it with a title. After you get it inspected by the state patrol, insurance is very cheap for rv's. You have to get the bus functioning as an rv. Toilet, sink, cooking unit, separate electric( generator with a cord) and separate heat ( this one they check for). Then make sure the tires, and all lights are working. No check engine light on, and no cracked windshield(this is also a must) they will deny you right away if any of these are not done. Once you get this done I can tell you how to get the proper paper work. All of this you have to do anyway and it's simple once you get it done. Good Luck, don't sweat it.

Finally got a chance to get in the bus and do some work. Here are some photos of the custom jack knife couch I built in a couple day. More sleeping and storage

What happened in regards to your buddies bus?
The landowner was holding it hostage?
I had a similar incident with a landowner and I called the cops. They told him the problem is a civil matter and if he wouldn't let me get my property they were going to arrest him for theft.
