I'd just like to make a quick comment about the leaf pack. What a difference! I can't say for sure whether the improvement is due to smoothing out the leaves, installing the plastic liner, or both, but there is a marked improvement.

Also, to anyone with leaf springs: remember to grease the shackle pins! Judging by the condition of the pins I pulled I would say the school district didn't do this regularly. They were seriously worn and sloppy.

Oh, and the brakes are silent and working perfectly. That was the whole point of this job, after all!

holy hell Jazty! How did I not see this build before? Dude - awesome job! If I'm headed out that way, I'll be visiting for sure.

I'm sure I'll be picking your brain soon on a couple of things that you did

Oh hell yeah! Please do stop by if you're in the 'hood! I'm not far east of Sault Ste Marie.

On another note, there's a second bus on our lot! We stashed it in our "junk yard" area since our driveway is getting full.

A friend of mine picked this up for $500. He needed a place to park it so he can repair a mirror, the brakes and some lights as well as paint it. it's all good. He's a fantastic chap to have around. A very helpful and pleasant guy. I'll never turn down having a drinking buddy around!

Wood piles are stacked for the year! Heck, there might even be enough for two years! What a beautiful sight (I know, I know.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc, etc..)

The youngest pup, Cricket, wanted to get in the frame. Sure, why not:

Sweet back up bus.

Quick question Jazty, you're plated and on the road in Ontario, correct?
What did you do for seat belts in the rear of the bus if any?
...for your passengers, not the two up front. Did a quick scan through your build and didn't see any.

I'm registered MH, safetied, etested, unplated.....insurance company won't even consider insurance without an appraisal....almost there. Waiting for my passenger seat to show up. Went through a few different years of motor homes, some have 'em some don't?

I love your dog! Looks VERY similar to my Dixie-

We found her abandoned a lil while back. She's been simply the greatest dog we could ever hope for. I think shes some mixture of hound and pit. We recently found out she like to climb trees!!

Hehe.. that's one hell of a trick for a dog! Can't say I've ever seen a dog successfully climb into a tree, though ours do try!

Cricket's been with us for a year and a half now, I think. We got her at a shelter around Lansing, Michigan on our way back up after a 3 month bus trip around Texas and New Mexico a couple winters ago. She's a good dog, but reckless about her own well being! It seems we're always sewing her up, pulling things out of her flesh, or dressing wounds. A fine addition to the dog pack!

Hi Redd

We only have seatbelts on the two front seats. None on the bench. That wasn't a topic that came up anywhere between registering it as a motorhome and insuring it so maybe they just don't care?

Sweet! Who knows if I'll ever get out that way once I'm rolling but if so - I'll be sure to shoot you a msg.
