That new car smell causes cancer. You should put the moldyoldies back in--no, wait they cause lung atrophy. Just kidding. The upholstery looks great as does the rest of your conversion. Jack

after a long winter break and a whole lot of traveling in the bus. time to add some pieces!

the bed is a bit shorter than the bus is wide.... i needed to make a head board to snug the mattress up a bit and to manage the cords that pass thru there.

so this is what i came up with:

and the cords:

the back door from the outside looked very hillbilly too.

so that got fixed up with another piece of plywood

and from the inside looks like this:

ready for some more miles

i did have to replace the air compressor on the bus this winter. darn thing wouldnt make enough air to let go on the brakes.
such is life and we're back on the road!

the mechanic was just changing parts and we had to go visit them again. now i have a new air dryer, in addition to the new compressor and air govenor...

on a happy note, i am way too pleased with this last project. some scrap angle iron, a pvc fence post and ....voila..... a shitter pipe holder.

Bookmobile is totally the way to go, IMO. I just couldn't find/afford one when I was looking.
