Bus of Fun Joins Circus Cascadia

Hallo skoolies,
Well its been almost ten years since my last bus project and that was back in the UK , but once you have the bug it never really gets out of your system so during a momentary lapse of reason , I went ahead and bought a great Bus from Salem,s Harley Santa, really. Logistics has always been a problem for the circus and hopefully this will solve ours for a while.
It is a Carpenter Cadet CV 1979, 19ft from bumper to bumper , it has a GMC350 and a 3spd auto tranny. We drove back to Portland with no issues and I haven't stopped smiling yet!
This is a great site I,m so glad to join the community. I do have a few questions and would love any info you may have on this Bus model chassis etc , I know it worked up in Washington state, anyway look forward to your comments .

She looks happy and that's all that counts. If not it's a tough project. Bus looks fun. Take photos of every important step.

Welcome! Any old pics of your fist rig? Can we expect great things form your shortie? It is nice to see a smile out there by the way we may be a different bunch but at least were happy with our buses and the lives we have chosen.

One and the same. I thought you might be a dealer. I will check that bus on Powell out. Talked to someone about 1 in SE but there were no service records and the bus had 270k on it--not interested in that. I checked out the website for CC and I am glad that the Catton bus will be used for good and not evil. Cheers.

No, Onion Brother I,m not a dealer ,just a silly old clown with a thing for old busses,
You could try ringing the guy in WA who has one on this sites classified, he is in the same price range just a bit of a way off.We will definately put it to good work, and finally be able to fit all our tat in ,( until we can,t and have to go bigger!) Good luck
Thanks for the welcome replies , I have spent most of my adult life travelling and living on the road , I don,t have any photo,s here of my 1st bus , but here is one the same I got off the web , Bedford Viceroy , 36ft, 330cu inch 1966,
I do some where have some other conversions photos of my rigs some where here and will dig them out and post them , Bedford TK 220 cu 10ft box (Jezebel) ex GPO and Clarinda my favourite, she taught me woodwork for real, 28ft Bedford Horsebox I968,466 cu This one had a Huge rayburn (solid fuel range) at one end and a pot belly wood burner at the other , I fully decked her out with insulation, wood lining, furniture, walls behind the ramp and roller door , I even learned to make windows and fitted them, Lived in her for 3yrs and took her out on tour,
Photo,s to follow

Re: Bus of Fun Joins Circus Cascadia

My bus is similar to yours (a 1976) but no W/C lift, easy to park, very maneuverable, but not very fast.
