Co Pilot seat for shorty

I just added this co pilots seat for my shorty. I spent some time looking for a used jump seat but ended up buying a new one from Suburban Seats, cost $435. I like the seat and will be adding an over the shoulder belt once I figure out how.

Next project will be relocating or eliminating the door mechanism, any suggestions?

Frame wise that is very similar to the fold up jump seat the bus had at the emergency exit. I keep mine to reupholster and reuse. That may work well in mine as a co pilot.

The budget is for an air ride seat with built in seat belt, a base that will rotate 180 degrees. The hard part is a swivel base that will stand up to the forces in a crash. only found two that seem to have been tested at all.

Can you post the link for that specific one on Suburban? I can not find that model on their web site (driver error I suspect).

I forgot to mention the arm rests. They are an option when you call Suburban Seats. I ordered two upholstered arm rests for $38 each, 76$ for both.

So is the base seat cheaper than what you gave?

No it isnt with the armrests added. I paid $435 total including $76 for the armrests and $70 shipping so actually it’s 10 more now.

I also didn’t mention that you have to specify upholstered armrests if you want them, they have a cheaper black plastic armrest version also.
