Re: Custom Screens on 1/4 round windows

I tried using the foam backer rod to hold the screening in but my screens blew out of the track when we drove the interstate with the windows open. I replaced the foam rod with some 1/4" flexible clear plastic tubing (it's marked "nalgene") that holds the screening in more tightly. I think the tubing looks a bit better in the bargain.

I had thought about sewing screens to fit the windows with Velcro strips all along the edge, glue the opposite side of the Velcro around the metal frame of the window, completely, and there you go removable screens, cheap and effective.

Re: Custom Screens on 1/4 round windows

Will bugs be able to get through the cracks of the screen frame since it won't be flush against the windows?
