debbiejay 8.3

First things first. Thank all of you who helped directing me into buying my short bus. I'm starting this thread so you can follow my conversion.

Mine is a Thomas Bus with Cummins 8.3 motor. I retired from the City of Phoenix August 4th. I have dreamed of a tiny home for about 10 years. When I stumbled upon a group of people called "skoolies" and I fell in love with the school bus.

I will be travelling solo for the most part. I am an artist now and am trying to come up with floorplan that is not cluttered so I have art space.

Attached are photos of my bus, plus an idea of a floorplan. Any suggestions that you think would be a good idea for me, please feel free to share it with me. I don't know a lot about placement of everything. I do not know if I can put things under the bus or not (thinking batteries maybe?)

Here is my unicorn, and a possible unicorn floorplan. (The black rectangle on the counter is a tiny wood burning stove ;)

You've even got air conditioning? Well, la-tee-da! You are getting fancy. That's a perdy bus.

Are you saying you gave up a cubical with the city of Phoenix? I sure miss my cubical. There's nothing like a good healthy false sense of security working for the government.

Sweet ride, DebJ

I realize it's early on, but I am thoroughly enjoying this build.

Legendary.

Keep in mind that everything gets 20% bigger when you put it in the bus!

Lol. Indeed, Robin, it was the ultimate false sense of security.

Phoenix? I thought you lived in southern CA. I tend to think everybody on this site is a neighbor.

So, I didn't see any snow on the ground. I'm seeing problems with your bus. Seriously, there are way to many seats in there. Way to many.

And now you see how many people there are that want to see under your hood?

Congratulations Debbie, just proves women really are "born to shop!"
I'm already thinking futon instead of twin bed and couch to make more useable space.
Watch for toothpicks on sale if you buy that woodstove imitation.
And Happy New Year from a place colder than the South Pole tonight.

John
