DRIcore sub floor?

I have a 20 ft short Bluebird and am itching to get to work in a week or so on the conversion. Currently in the planning stage.

So, pull up floor, clean/derust, seal holes, then......

I was thinking of DRIcore R+ sub flooring. I like the idea of the air flow and the insulation all in one. I would probably screw each one in place with a few self taping metal screws. Then wood flooring over it.

To attach cabinets, bunks, etc I would drill a pilot hole all the way and use long metal screws all the way through.

Thoughts?

I really like the concept but hate OSB. Especially for use in an RV.

So, I assume y'all don't like the idea? Can you enlighten me as to why not?

The reason people don't like osb is the edges expand when wet and don't go back. So you can end up with small ridges in the floor that never go back to normal. Buses are known for getting wet floors, so it's something to consider. If you get osb and have to cut, make sure you reseal the edges.

You could accomplish something much better on your own with some insulating board and marine ply.

Bus floors WILL get wet. And since everything else you build is on top of the floor...start with something that won't swell or react badly to moisture. Tearing everything out later is not fun.

I like your idea other than screwing it down. I used G-P Drymax on top of 1" foamboard in mine, but used PL300 adhesive to attach it. The issue I have seen others mention is the thermal transfer that can occur and the condensation that will be caused by the differing temperatures and humidity levels between inside and outside.
