Dip has its place. Sounds like you found a few ok uses for it. The entire exterior of a car is not ok.

Was little chilly this weekend but got a lot done.
Stove is cooking and fridge is cooling! Laid in all the gas lines. Everything but the furnace is up and running. Need a new thermostat and to tap some power for it somewhere.

How are the propane tank mounts holding up? I think that's the style we are going to go with on our shortie, just on the other side.

Havent put more than 10 miles on with the tank mounts. So far they are holding up there just fine.

Busy week.
Got the heat exchanger mounted, fresh and grey water tanks installed, thermostat and furnace are up and running, and built a fuel/oil/coolant/firewood holder out back.

1500 mile, 10 day trip to the biggest race of the year is only 24 days away. Gotta get this thing finished up so the 3 of us are comfy for the trip!
Alignment and tires this week, hopefully finish up the plumbing this weekend to leave us plenty of time to pack!.

Crunch time! Below freezing, fresh powder and 30mph winds today so we decided to not finish up the plumbing but rather prep the bikes and make sure that I can get 3 in here somehow. Looks like we're good to go!
Weather forecast looks promising tomorrow so hopefully we can put the finishing touches on.

Nice build!
Can I ask you, how heavy was the bus once empty?

I'd have to go find my scale slip to be sure but IIRC it was in the 9300# range.

BUSY freaking weekend. I'm calling it DONE for now. No time left, heading for CA on Friday. Everything is buttoned up, bikes and gear and food and beer are loaded. Its stuffed to the gills.
Dad built some nice stuff to put the finishing touches on....
helmet hooks.
A box to protect all the coolant/ac/water lines and the rear heater, with some extra bonus storage.
Picked up this BBQ awhile back. we've been using it camping for a few years. It came off a some sort of boat and KICKS ass. So much heat, doesn't care about wind, just cooks like a good grill should

Not racing. Just spectating and helping out with tech inspection. Doing a little riding.
Come on by I'll buy the first round! Hope to be camped out somewhere near gate 4.

Sweet looking bus you have their. Looking to do the exact same thing but only finding 5 windows. Would you say there is space above the handlebars on the drivers side of the bus for a bunk? Thinking about putting one their when I pick up a bus if space allows.
