Has Anyone Moved The Passenger Bus Door and Replaced With a Passenger Seat

I am thinking of picking up a Collins or Blue Bird E450 based short bus and have a thought about moving the passenger door opening and installing a regular passenger van door and passenger seat.

I saw a church activity / shuttle bus the other day that has a passenger van door but I like the look of the school bus.

I have a welder and 15 years fabrication skills. So the project does not scare me away. Just don't want to reinvent the wheel, so was wondering if anyone has taken on the task.

A few here have done it so...yes. Usually involves locating the "new" entry down somewhere amidship and adding stairs. Not that big a deal if you are a welder.
