Insulation?

Hello All
I recently bought a 2003 Ford Collins 7.3Diesel short school bus!!! (with wheelchair lift in back)
I'm going to begin the conversion process and I'm just curious about insulation. I've found a lot of resources with big full size school busses.
I'm just curious within the short bus community if people have bothered to take off the metal siding to install insulation. I'm planing on doing wood siding though I'm unsure whether to just build over the siding ass is or take the siding off, instal some insulation and build of that.
My bad if this is an old topic, just looking for peoples opinion's
Thanks

Congrats on the bus!! Sounds similar to my '98. Mine has 1" of yellow fiberglass between roof and wall panels from the factory.

you can see some of it in this pic.

See if you can find a screw or speaker or something somewhere you can remove then fish around with a dental pick and see if you can tell if theres anything in there.

in general if your going to live in it then tear it out, if its just a weekender then leave it. got any pics of your shorty? good luck and wear some glasses when your grinding out them seat bolts.
