265/75-16 on stock 6" wide rims. Wheel & Tire Association specs say minimum 7" rim for this size tire...but it doesn't look any more pinched than 315's do on 8"rim. So I'm calling BS on that rule. And 265's are hung on dually trucks all the time. Now though, the big chain tire stores are refusing to mount them on 6" wheels. So you have to go to the Mexicans that have the used tire stores. They'll do whatever you want. For $15.
However; dual'd 265's will require a spacer in between the dual wheels, and minimum width is 2" w/o shortening the existing wheel studs. I cheated; I'm running a 235/85 on the inside. Same OD, different width. It will work for now. 65psi.
Dually spacers are available from motorsport-tech.com in steel and aluminum. E-450 spacers are $225/pr in aluminum, 8x6.5 pattern, 2" thick, hubcentric w/ 124.9mm ID centerbore. CANNOT just use any old Ebay spacer. Must be hubcentric.

No, OEM 16's. Those skinny-ass tires will sink right down into the first patch of soft ground you drive on.

2" spacer under the front spring, fabbed a 2.25" lift block for the rear. New U-bolts. Gearing is 4.10 and was damn short for 29" tires. Short bus is setup for stop-n-go retard retrieval...not cruisin on the open road.

I think the hot ticket would be a set of Stockton 16x10's and single 35x12.5 on all corners. $235ea, they are a steel wheel with a 1/2" thick center. But this requires a 6" suspension lift, which requires a 4WD conversion, which requires at least $5000 alone. 5ea said wheels and Toyo MT's is right about $2750...if you do it on the cheap. So after incidentals...we're talking right about 8 grand minimum to get an E-450 up on 35's and done right.
I may just stick w/ 2wd and 32's. 2WD w/ locker will go damn near anywhere you need to go.
