Re: My 1990 Ford E-350 Goshen Bus

Put in handle to pull the top corner of the door in far enough to latch it good and easy.

Bit of driving

Why the Private Motor Home stickers, so the law overlooks you for wt and such?or is it required?

Re: My 1990 Ford E-350 Goshen Bus

more of im leaving Tuesday for a cross Canada trip and don't want trouble from the OPP and QPP for looking like a commercial vehicle. Our province's plates dont have designations on them like "commercial truck" or "bus" etc. just the sticker says PV which is Private Vehicle but i dont want to gamble on an officer from another province not knowing that.

Re: My 1990 Ford E-350 Goshen Bus

bit of update. the seats are in, and the inverter is mounted.

Seats -

power - Its mounted but im still working on the wiring of the inverter. lucky for me i found out NOT the hard way that both those solenoids above the drive in the bus are positive power. I guess the smaller one must be for the AC stuff. I thought being black wires it was negative but NOPE! So I took some old 1 gauge amp wire from a stereo and have wired for the inverter so it also goes through a 150 amp fuse (car stereo stuff again) and that way it will be FUSED... We played around with it last night and it tells me what volts are currently and then there is 3 sets of plugs that have their own fuses as pictured. With the bus sitting for a week now and using some lights etc the batteries are sitting a 12.2 volts which isnt bad for the amount they were sitting!

Also not shown because im too rushed and forgot to take pictures is that I have removed my front bus heater. I decided that where it is is where i want the fridge so it will go there. Lost about a gallon of coolant because it didnt work out how i wanted it to when cutting lines and putting the loop back fitting in... oh well .. partial coolant flush lol. I will have a nice fridge and possibly an AC unit for the drive! yeah!

Re: My 1990 Ford E-350 Goshen Bus

There is a thread I saw, were they used the black drain hookups with a flexabile hose between them to make the connections on a teardrop that the ac wasn't used all the time.
When needed the unscrewd (1/4 turn)the black caps off both ends.
And inserted hose between them and each end 1/4 turned on them very neat will try to find pictures

Re: My 1990 Ford E-350 Goshen Bus

very cool!

Also trip got canned.. ready to roll out and nope.. next day ready to roll out and nope.. now i dont have the time to go.. sigh..

On a better note I got my own inverter. 2000watt was on sale at canadian tire for $180 with remote on/off.

Also GPS units were on sale for $22-$54 depending on model. got the $54 one for the handsfree built in.
