That is a cool looking little bus. Having seen the drawings (paintings) on the sides of the bus, I thought you must be a Jerry Garcia fan. Then I realized that you are a tattoo artist. Nice work.

Re: new 1987 thomas built conversion for band tour bus

first pic I was like cool, flat black fitting for a metal band.....then I saw the blood red interior and thought cool vampires and metal ....and then the skeletons and I started to laugh, thinking my mind is warped to put this all together so quick

Good luck with conversion

Re: new 1987 thomas built conversion for band tour bus

you should be able to bolt the spare tire under the bus in back of the rear axle.. that might help on space.
And a minivan rear seat could replace the bus seat that is in there, there are a couple of widths of those.
If i were going to use the space that you have across from the cabinet for a both a couple of beds, and for day use, i would build something like a 2x4 or metal framework and have the top bunk swing up to the ceiling during the day, and have storage under the lower bunk bed.
just a couple of thoughts...

Did you just buy this bus? I think I saw it on Portland Craigslist when I was looking for my skoolie.
