Great looking bus! Perfect for camping and having a bunch of fun. Did you solve your spare tire issue? My thoughts...if you are pulling a jeep anyway, can you just put it in the jeep? Might be a dumb thought, but oh well...

Found this rack at the local salvage. Looks like it will become the roof rack. 12' long 5' wide. At the center, once I trim the legs, it will be about 3 or 4 inches off the roof. Currently thinking about mounting it backwards and letting it overhang about 2' off the back. It would line up nice the the roof ribs. Great place to hang our solar shower. $100

Jeep, bus, repeat.

You do like to think out of the box!

My only concern is you need to weigh your bus to see how much more weight you can carry.

At the most the GVWR's of Type 'A' buses is going to be about 14,000 lbs. A lot of that limitation is how much the tires can support.

I know you took a significant amount of weight when you took everything out of the interior. But since then you have put a lot more stuff back in, hung underneath, and now plan to put up on top.

I would hate for you to go to all of the trouble of doing something only to discover that you are overweight.
