the only thing ive ever had go wrong with my jeeps other than stuff I busted from stupidity or brute-forcing my way through a trail I shouldnt have been on were always cooling related or A/C related..

the fan clutches on TJ's were Terrible.. first thing I did when id buy a new TJ 4.0 was take out the fan clutch and "adjust" the temp to engage.. they werent shipped adjustable but "coaxing (ok bending)" the spring you could get it to engage at lower temperatures..

Used a couple clear 3/4" led marker lights as dome lights up front.

Cool idea. You threw me for a while with that license plate up there.

Nice rack, and I don't say that to just anybody.

It looks like your bus has been taking on more character since the photo on the left of your posts. That's looking good too.

Did you remove your hatch? I noticed you have the rack a little high apparently to allow normal hatch function.

No hatch yet. Still thinking about something. Main reason we left at that high is because I did not want to cut off the angled bracing for the legs and I wanted to put my PVC water tanks underneath. The rack is mostly for sleeping on when the four of us get Cabin Fever inside.

That's the perfect place for stargazing.

Is that a solar water heater in those pvc tanks?

Suns up. Still have to figure out my ladder for the deck. Back or side for the ladder. Back would have to go up the middle.

Had a hole over the driver's seat. I don't know if it had switches before or just a cover. But I do know if you find a hole you better put something in it or protect it from having somebody put something in it. So now it has this little door. My wife will have to paint around the license plate.

Test ride zero complete. No more drives left until we head out on the grand adventure. Three weeks...i think. Gotta finish the ladder, water tanks, dog house insulation, voltage gauge, extra batteries, etc. I think the big dual exhaust mufflers were heating up the floor a lot, going to talk to my exhaust expert this week.

The roof rack worked great for my sons tent and a light mount for camping.

I'd install a spring of some kind (old license plate bracket over a gas cap?) to keep that closed. I have something similar to get to the rear fuse panel-thats a REAL good way to smack your head. And it WILL happen. Trust me.
