Re: Pink Floyd Bus

Great shades of "Further" !!! --- Outstanding rig. It appears to be about a 1938 International. And given there are so few around, I also have to wonder if it is the same one I turned some folks onto a couple of years ago that came from the same hippie campground as my '46 Chevy. They even said they were planning on doing kind of a tribute to the bus "Further".

If you are not familiar with that bus...The Merry Pranksters...Neal Cassady...or The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test...look here...

Far Out!

Thanks for sharing.

Tango.. I am quite familiar with this bus.. This particular version of "Furthur" was made by Ken Kesey's son who has been touring all summer as a 50th anniversary commemoration of the trip that became an icon of the psychedelic 1960s. Here is a picture of it next to the original Furthur pulled from the woods a few years back.. Pretty cool to see it in my home town..

Re: Pink Floyd Bus

By any chance do you know if he bought it from the campground near Monroe, Utah? I handed off the info on that '39 IH to someone a few years ago. Would love to know if this is it. Looks freakin awesome.

Hey Mike (Freebyrd) I'm glad you found my forum. We are hoping to get the last of the paint completed this week and next.. Keep an eye out for pictures..

Tango.. Don't quote me on this, but I am pretty sure Further 2.0 is a 1947 IH.. Couldn't tell ya where they found it. I do agree it looks freaking awesome. Even better in person.

Would easily be worth the $200 buck donation just to see the inside! Beautiful job.

Re: Pink Floyd Bus

It definitely has Floydian overtones that fall on the dark side. Sweet!
