So anyone have list of pros and cons on a 1980 Chevrolet bus...good running condition, interior already partially converted, outside paint job complete, automatic, 350 700R4?

that pick

Do what feels right to you..... also that combination is probably the least expensive to buy parts for. ever. anywhere. Now do you think it has what you are looking for. Take it for a drive and feel it out. get the thing checked out by a trusted mechanic.

best I can do...

Thanks so much for the reply. I’m doing all this solo and trying to figure out all the ins and outs has been intimidating to say the least, but this site has been my go to for encouragement and so much information and given me the courage to undertake this journey

700r4 in a bus? That would be surprising...

The cons are going to be fuel mileage, lack of power, longevity of the 700r4 (if thats what is in it for sure)...

What size bus are we talking about?

Pros will be cost of maintenance.

That trans wasn't around until 1982 so I'f suggest you have a qualified mechanic go over the whole installation just to be safe.
