Re: Putter's Bus

yeah, it seems that way. Just got thru hooking up wires and such to get ready to install dash. I have to pick up 2 new switches for the wipers, get them and I can install the dash, then install the genny, hope it cranks, hadnt been running for a few months, wish me luck. Actually gonna give it a dry run outside the box first. Thanks for the replies, seems like only a couple people have been watching my thread, tks again. SEC media days started today I think.......

Re: Putter's Bus

On your genny your need to start it about once a month and run it UNDER LOAD for about 20-30 minutes....
starting the genny and not putting it under load will not do anything for the generator.
The biggest problems with generators is lack of use.... at least 50% load during to make it work good.....
Good luck with your genny and your bus, looking good..

Re: Putter's Bus

Converting a bus to a motorhome is not an easy task.... It's long hard work and murphy is always lurking in the background.
One job at a time. you'll get there just not overnight.
PS find you a welder, do not leave it just bolted on.... just food for thought

Re: Putter's Bus

well I got all the warning lights hooked up and working. hooked up the wipers also, just left the other power wire unhooked (see my thread in conversion) and the overhead lights as well. Tried starting it up and I think my starter is going out. Just my damn luck. Its been dragging for a while, crank it once and a while ya know.
