question about buying a short bus

Hey guys, im new to the world of skoolies and i'm interested of buying a short bus. Btw sorry for my spelling im a french canadian so my English is not on point. I just saw a nice 2002 Econoline 350 Girardin 18 passenger. Only 30 000 kilometers and it was for the transport of old people… The price is 4000$ CAN. The only thing that bugs me is that the interior height is only 6 feet. I'm 5'10'' so… i was wondering how much space i could get from removing the seats and the actual floor knowing that i would put a 2x4 (1 '' 1/2) and a 1/2 plywood plus a 1/8 vinyl floor then about 2 '' 1 /8. And also how much space also by removing the finishing trench from the ceiling inside. theres speaker so I guess there's space to gain there… Also the bus have air conditionner and cruse control.. so im very interested to buy it.

Is it gas or diesel? Any rust? Is it a fiberglass bus body or steel? I am 6 foot tall and my ceiling is 6'2" high plus I lost and in with the floor, so I have one inch space and it really has not bothered me at all since I am not always standing in the bus and if I am I am not standing straight up over the stove, sink, counter, etc
