removable passenger seat?

We're redoing a Chevrolet short bus (G30 cutaway with Campbell body) and are wondering if there is such a thing as a removable seat base/pedestal, preferably swivel type, for the passenger seat. Does anyone know of such an animal? I've seen such things for boats, but they don't appear secure enough for automotive use (e.g., no seat belt mounts)

Thanks!

Eric

For my co-driver I first used a captain chair from the middle row of a 94 dodge coversion van, it would unlock and you could take the whole seat out leaving a base plate behind. Now i have a mid 90's for ford conversion van passenger seat that spins around. A lap belt works great on both seats.

Jeep, bus, repeat.

The spinable ford seat is much better. The i modified the dodge seat to fit the base of the drivers seat.Colors were close enough for bus work.

Jeep, bus, repeat.

That's what I plan to do too. One of those options.
My bus is similar to yours I'm sure.
Good luck ! Let us know how it works out for you.

This looks like what we're seeking, thanks. So does the Ford seat also come out, and what year/model did it come out of?

The Ford seat does not come out but when it turned around its really out-of-the-way and useful. I think it is the passenger front seat out of a 92 Ford van

Jeep, bus, repeat.

He wishes he was a traveling cat. His name is Adam. He does ride on the roof of the minivan a lot. He has made it as far as 1/8 mile before we realized it was up there.

That must be Adam West, silver surfing on top of your bus.
