My mom growing up had a 95 Caprice that screamed. Went up in flames possibly due to a faulty fuel line. That was an exciting day...

sounds like my 01 Silverado 2500 HD.. 6.0 litre.. 5000 miles...


injection manifold cracked when I had my foot to the floor... rest is history.. who makes fuel rails out of PLASTIC!?..

I guess its alon g the lines of Navistar putting plastic parts in the oil filter housing of 6.0 diesels.. oh and plastic that melts at 250-260 degrees or so in those..

Shaun and I were out looking at the buses yesterday after pulling seats from mine. The body on this thing is so straight and solid. I still like the IC bus looks a lot more than the Thomas.
Only thing to fix on the body of this bus is a football sized hole in the floor by the corner of the WC lift. My last IC shorty rusted there, too.
Good thing we've got a welder and a bunch of steel.

What is this BS?!? What's stopping you from starting on it now? Doing a minimal build will only require minimal time and minimal money. Day light hours are getting longer. An hour or two an evening during the week and you'll be done in no time. It's not like you're chopping the roof off a 40 foot bus this time.

Well its a 30-45 minute drive to the bus with all the new traffic, and I'm not in any hurry. I don't rush these things. You should know this by now!
We had a major milestone in finding affordable insurance and getting it tilted as a MH so we can park in town soon. I want to paint it first and delete some or maybe all of the school bus windows.
Once I get it looking a little less like a school bus I'll be able to work on it a lot more and at my leisure since I'll have it at my home.


I've been just taking it easy and focusing on other stuff.
