So I just got back from my colonoscopy follow up.
They told me I have IBS but nothing that shows any cancer. I don't have Crohn's or ulcertative colitis. No celiac, but its been over 5 years since I've had any gluten. Till today, that is.
They swore to me that I should try gluten and see what happens. SO I just had my first McDonalds in over 5 years. Was orgasmic! We'll see how it goes. If I don't throw up or have a crazy life changing headache later on I'll be ecstatic.
Apparently I have some form of anxiety that gets my guts all messed up and affects my digestion and appetite.

I seem to thrive in it. I'll take tropical heat over that white cold stuff anytime.

Holy sh1t, really? You actually paid a doctor to tell you that? I could of told you that and would have only charged you half as much.

I ever mention I hate doctors and lawyers? My dad was a lawyer and my grand father a doctor. NEVER trust a doctor or a lawyer. At least my grandfather was a pathologist and not general practice.

Do not like the cold white stuff either, but since I can not afford to live where it is 75 degrees all year long, I have to put up with one extreme or the other

LOL... Perspective. I love the heat and humidity. I'm here in Northern California until the 20th and boy do I miss the heat and humidity of South Florida.

really great news!!!

also interesting because a friend of mine had the same thing.. he was diagnosed a few years back after Neck surgery as having Celiac.. went on the no-gluten regimen.. our most fun times together were always out trying every new pizza place we could find... we had to skip a lot of the ma N pop shops because they didnt have gluten free... then he decided to see what would happen if he cheated,, he ate a slice of my regular pizza.. and had no issues.. and once in a while did the same thing and such.. and he found he can eat regular pizza and pastries and such as loing as he doesnt gorge on it every day.. but once againb we could go pizza exploring.. if a shop didnt have gluten free we were still good.. if they do he still goes gluten free..

I get definitely gut pains when I stress out... oh and dehydrate.. I find if i keep the water flowing... (a gallon or more a day in summer)... then i have zero issues with my gut.. regardless of how much soda Pop, coffee, MnM's reeses cups, pizza I consume.. let my hydration level go down? and I get that lower belly tightness and pain start..
-Christopher

YES.. granted i like my A/C for sleeping and for those long freeway drives.. but im the guy who sits outside writing code on HOT summer days.. so much so that my computer will often over-heat and shut down well before i would feel over-heated...

perhaps thats why we decided on WPB for our new offices!! I just got Consumed by projects, server moves, installs, updates, work-politics.. that I havent made a MUCH NEEDED school bus ride south yet!!

Kudos to you EC for Rural King batteries! 2 new ones in RedByrd.. $79 each on sale for $69, plus theyl give me $12 each for my old dead batteries if i take em back... I learned they are batteries plus so I need to see if they are warrantied.. but my bus spun right over at minus 5 with the new bats!

That's great news... sounds like you healed your gut. I'd be careful how much gluten you consume, going forward. By being GF for 5 years, you allowed your gut biome to heal. The occasional treat won't do you in, but going crazy on the crap, just might.

I'm so glad you don't have cancer...

Anxiety is the bane of all of our existence. Sending you hugs! See you in 12 days... hope you're getting that oil changed and rust work done soon

xoxo

We'll get it done. We've had some real crappy weather and I've had so much going on lately. But don't worry. We'll be on it.

Anxiety and gut tension?
That's what the good stuff does to a person.
I had a friend that wouldn't partake with anyone else only stare out a little slit in the mini blinds until it was over and then go throw up in his bathroom and smoke buy himself hidden.
never had those issues though?
Maybe I do need to make Trip to Florida to help out with the water pump cover thing.

Just an FYI, I've been doing 'mindfulness meditation'. Works like a charm for me.
Nothing magical, I have to put in the work while at it and during the day, but I can see the results.
Seems like the brain has a lot to do with it.
Good luck !

Hey CB,

Can we talk on the phone regarding health issues? You may be able to shed some light on stuff I have been dealing with. Nuff said.

Shoot me a PM.

Thanks.

First time I've seen 'McDonald's' and 'orgasmic' in the same sentence.

Or even adjacent sentences.

But at this point the real question for me is? Does the extra curricular activity ACTUALLY help?
I know doing Boy Scouts with my kids and 15 other people's kids and long hikes with my wife and dogs.
The open air in moderation actually helps a lot.
So go for a walk every now and then to clear your head.
Your animals will thank you to.
