Roof Raise on a Shorty Help

I'm here because I have no clue what I'm doing. I have no previous experience to metal fabricating or welding and I'm looking to find out if anyone would be willing to come to me to help me do an 8-10 inch roof raise on my bus. I'm wanting to do it from below the windows. I'm not mathematically inclined and while I've read through hundreds of roof raise threads, and articles as well as participated in facebook discussion. I really don't know where to begin. You tube makes it look simple but I'm a fairly short woman and don't even know if I can do it. I've been quoted anywhere from $4k-$6500 to have it done for me professionally. I know I could do it for much less in cost of materials and paying a helping hand. Raising from below the windows requires removing body panels below thw top rub rail. A lot more extensive work than raiding from mid window. I offer roof raise kits I would raise your roof substantially cheaper if you brought it down here.

dont you need special pieces to raise a thomas since it slopes inward ever so slightly?

I understand that it may take a bit more work. All I need is for someone to help me raise it and weld in new supports. I'll take care of all the rest. I want to keep the school bus windows intact and bring them up.

Idk about special pieces but to make a thomas look right will require some planning.

That's the way to do it.....puts the windows at a more user-friendly height. I think that type of raise looks really nice, but you don't see it much.
