Re: Rutgers tailgating bus

Dan checkout our linkto the fan page on the start of my thread. Pics galore of partying. The paint got chewed up from jeans of people. We're going to sand it off and repaint % try to use towels to cover the seats. I'd buy vinyl upholstrey if I could but it's 9 bucks a yard.

Thanks for your reply! So I guess I'll either live with my original seat color, or do some sort of seat covers.

Re: Rutgers tailgating bus

Was thinking of paining our dashboard red this year. Any suggestions on how to do this? I read on-line that over time it will chip and look bad. I read you can take it out, prime it and then paint it with duplicolor vinyl paint. I heard SEM is good to but it's a little pricey per can ($20) although I'd probably only need one. Then if I can't take the dash out what do I do? Basically everything in my bus is red and white Rutgers colors then we have this brown dashboard lol.

Re: Rutgers tailgating bus

BEFORE you paint it, lay a cover (piece of fabric, paper, whatever) the colour that you want to paint it and see it it reflects in the windshield. Once upon a time, I had a Buick with a red dash. It was difficult for me to see thru in the daytime when the light reflected back onto the windshield. as for painting your dash.. I ran into website some place where someone painted their dash and it held up well. It may have been over at the rolledon.com forum but I will look and see. It's in my bookmarks which keep's getting longer and longer.

Re: Rutgers tailgating bus

Bus looks good RU! I'm new here, bought a 15 passenger Goshen back in November to turn into a Penn State gater, now just looking for ideas since it is finally warming up. I'm a little broke right now, as I am in the car business, and business sucks in the northeast in the winter. Plus I am spending $10k redoing my bathroom myself. So between time and money spent on the bathroom, not much of either to put toward the bus. Just going to try and start with the most important parts, battery bank for TG stuff, changing the interior colors to PSU with vinyl, to start. Won't have much done for the Blue/ White game in April, but hoping to have a lot done before the Bama game in September. I'll be checking everybodys mods to get ideas, great site, so glad I found it!

PS,
Can't find where to upload a pic of the PSUer, can anyone help?

Re: Rutgers tailgating bus

Well my advice

If it costs a little more that's okay. Do it right. Also just use photobucket to upload pictures. Create an account and then in this thread click the img icon and copy and paste your URL from photobucket into it and your picture will load. I am currently re-painting a lot of stuff for 2011. Just put in 4 hours today and felt like I did nothing lol. These things are fun to build and party in but they take a beating lol. If you want ideas or to look at more pictures here is our bus fan page on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Sil...e/336937276592 don't be afraid to become a fan. We could hookup when they play RU down the line!
