Switch Question

Anyone have an idea what the red switch in the picture is for? It is above the driver's seat. I can't figure it out what it does.

Re: Switch Question

Does the unlabelled black switch to the left of it do anything? It's possible that it's just a placeholder and has no function.
You could always undo those 4 Philips screws and check if it's even connected to anything...

Re: Switch Question

The 2 on the left are both for interior lights. One for the rear 2 and one for the forward 8. The red switch is wired up but doesn't light up. Guess I will have to dig in deep and see where the wires go.
What would a high idle setup look like? Where would it be located?

When you flip the red switch, anyone outside notice the bus disappearing? (Random geek comment )

Hi Idle may be a two position switch on the dash/control panel. Unless you have a separate digital tach with buttons on it. As I recall, the '96+ ambulances I used to drive for an ambulance company that shall remain nameless to protect the innocent, had a separate Ford digital tach that had the high idle controls on it.
