I was always told household frig's wouldnt stand up to the extreme temperatures that RV's reach and not burn up the compressors.. its somewhat true but if you dont try to run your frig when your bus is 120 inside you'l llikely be just fine.. the compressors technically arent made to sit at angles or bounce around etc... but they work...

I dont know about full size frig's but I have BEAT the daylights out of mini frig's and they hold up well... on road trips i often had a mini frig on a cheap inverter in the back of my Jeep.. bouncing around enough I had to bungie the door shut but it always stayed cold!

I hear people have nothing but issues with the special 12 volt / 110 volt / propane frig's that are special to campers... in fact ine friend of mine has a mini frig sitting on the counter now because he got tired of fixing his "special RV frig".. I think he got the cheapest tabletop frig he could find at walmart.. years ago... and it still works..
