Allright!!!! Turn signals all working!!!!
After about 2 hours testing different bulbs, chasing wires, replacing the thermal flasher (which brand new burned out after 30 minutes!) and putting original back, finally decided to spray MORE WD40 inside the selector lever contacts....brushed all contacts nice and clean....
Before I reassembled the whole piece, I thought "let me jam something in each contact, let's see what lights up..."
Sure enough, there are 4 contacts in the assy, and each contact = one corner/turn signal! Once again, pardon my ignorance, but I thought the whole thing would have been controlled by relays lol
Soooo.....once I very carefully put the assembly back together, voilą! All turn + emergency lights work!
I have to say, after trying different things, and still no results, I was getting pretty bummed out thinking I was gonna have to get it done at a shop. Glad I stuck with it, and got it done
Now I'm pumped about the next phase: starting on the outside!
