Hey skoolie_nOObie, we're in Pembroke Pines too! We're over near North Perry Airport - no bus (yet), but we do have a 1986 21' Toyota Sunrader that we're restoring (and bugging the neighbors with our late-night antics). Cool that we're neighbors - you're bus is way cool!

I'm glad what I'm writing is helping someone!
Best advise I can give is to read read read, and use the knowledge to make the skoolie yours
And have fun with it! This might or might not be your first bus, and you might want to give up at times (I wanted to quit when I was removing the seats!!!). Don't. If working with your hand is something you enjoy, you've found the perfect hobby.

Aye, first bus. Been reading a lot. My idea from when I randomly bought the bus late August, to right now after reading many of these threads... greatly expanded. Haha.

I love hard work. Plan on taking my time and doing it right.

Cheers!

Fridge for our bus!
Was pretty ugly and rusty.
Nothing some sanding and a can of paint couldn't fix!

Aaaand we finally have a generator!!!!!
It's the inverter/quiet gen from ryobi I picked up at the "big orange box". Have researched for quite some time, and this imho was the best option for me as for performance vs price. Haven't fired it up, yet....

I like your bus. Don't see too many 5 window buses.

I've been looking at that unit as it is half the cost of the Honda, but some of the reviews were less than stellar. I will be interested to see how it works out for you. So far, all my Ryobi tools have been problem free and have worked well, hopefully the generator is the same for you!

Exactly....! Very little (but very bad) bad reviews, so I took the plunge. I also have the ryoby pressure washer (2800psi max, I think) and besides having to clean the spark plug once, worry free after cleaning our deck twice, cleaned the house once, my in-law even used it for her deck....and I'm almost positive the engines in ryoby units are Hondas. Not sure about the electrical....
I'll keep you posted on performance ;)
