What's her first name? Quickly. CRINDY!

Names' not Cindy Gob.. So my wife and I decided to name our 2004 IC Crindy.. Strange name but it is thing between my wife and I. Referenced from the show Arrested Development.. We brought her home today, albeit on one of the rainiest days we have had in years, luckily it was only about an hour and 15 minute drive.
On to the pics! Will post more pictures and progress this weekend if weather permits.

Thank you for the welcome! Texas is pretty great so always good to see another Texan!

It’s got the T444E, Allison 2000 transmission, 135k miles, has a handicap lift but I will be removing that in the near future.
Tires are in excellent condition, will have to see the size of them, I know they are 22.5’s.

Has heat and two AC units, unsure if they work as its too cold to test them. Hydraulic brakes. Planning on doing an oil change, possibly trans service.

Need to do brakes on it, maintenance guy at the school district said brake pads are at 20%, luckily it’s all disc brakes so won’t be too much of a beating to do. Hopefully the rotors are in good shape and the parking brake drums are good.

Thank you sir! I am glad we did too! Jim at the school district was a really nice guy too, very helpful. You really should have, I think all of the buses definitely went for a lot less than they could be sold on the public market for.

It was just smaller than I really wanted, so I was looking at it for a flip. Kinda happy I didn't, because I'm bidding on a nice 7 window with a little extra behind last row that closes tomorrow that's just what I'm looking for with the high roof, and I wouldn't have had the funds for both

I still get to watch you build this one though!

I completely understand! No sense in buying it and not being what you want exactly and also causing you to miss out on one you really want!

Hope you win the one you are bidding on, can't to see pics!

Made a little progress on the bus today. Since the rain finally went the ef away, its been raining for over 5 days straight, very unusual for the part of Texas we are located in. Definitely slowed down the beginning of the project.

The wonderful wife spent time cleaning on the inside.

I spent time diagnosing the issue with the air ride seat, came to the conclusion that the pressure control switch for the small 12v compressor was malfunctioning. Ordered a new one on Amazon for 18 dollars, should be here Monday so I can verify that was my issue.

Tomorrow a good friend is coming over to help, so we will finish the removal of the seats and the wheel chair lift.

On a side note I have gotten insurance as a Commercial vehicle for personal use, liability only through for 560 a year, I can handle that for sure. Went through an insurance broker or whatever, instead of dealing with the insurance company directly. Gonna get the inspection and registration done this week. CANNOT wait to drive her around just for the hell of it. Need to make a trip to an international dealer to get the speed limiter raised.

Any progress is good progress.

Congrats on the insurance. Doesn't that take a lot of the stress out of the whole insurance thing?

Did you drive it home with no insurance? And no joke about this weather. It was coming in waves, heavy then lighten up, then back to down pou throughout the day, and kept going.

And being that were from the neighborhood, I'm gonna need some more details on that insurance. Who's the coverage through? I currently have progressive, so I was just gonna call in and try and get it since I'm already with them, but it doesn't hurt to have a back up

Yes I did, I mean I have my truck and cars through USAA so I had some sort of coverage either way.

When you call progressive you need to get with their commercial department. Express to them you want to insure the bus as a commercial vehicle but for personal use only, let them know the seats are removed etc etc and you will not be transporting people in it. It’s just for your own personal use.

Oh and the rain it for the freaking birds.. it’s so aggravating when you bring your bus home and can’t really do much for the first week

Shut up or you're going to make it snow again.

The only snow we had this year was just enough to build up in the crack between the sidewalk and the yard, and it stayed for half the day or so
