find a way to make the door seal better. Could be as easy as replacing the stock weatherstripping around the door, or adding new weatherstripping. Could be more complicated too, but ultimately it sounds like the problem is air coming in from around the door. Stop the air, stop the whistle.

adding a small wind deflector around the door may also solve the problem, but might take a bit of trial and error to get right. i was thinking something similiar in size and shape to the rain gutter that's on the outside of a bus.

I had the same problem....I was able to fix it by applying foam weatherstripping that is designed to cut the draft from windows or doors. It has a stick side wich worked out perfect. I now have no noise even at 70 mph!
