Interior Lighting

I would love to have the interior overhead lights connected directly to the battery on my Thomas HDX. Unfortunately, they currently go through the ignition switch.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for that switch menagerie on the driver's panel where I can disconnect the lights from the ignition switch to wire them directly?

TIA

I have mine on a 3 way switch, on\off\on , one side is to the ignition, key on to work, and the other side of the switch is to my house battery . If you want to just have the lights off your start battery, pull out your switch, use a test light and find which wire is ''hot'' with the key on, you will have to disconnect it, and take that wire or make a new one and find something that is ''hot' with the key off, there is lots of spots in the system to tap into ie; the solenoid that powers the flashing lights , or run a wire to the battery. Just remember that you can kill your start battery and leave you stranded.

CaptSquid, on your bus on the passengers side in the front is your fuse box, you could run a wire directly off the battery cable there to the switch (with an inline fuse) and wire it up that way.

I've already done that with my LED light strips. I'm talking of the overhead incandescent lamps that are built in.
