2009 Chevy Vortec

Hey all,

I have been perusing around this sub-reddit for a couple of months now as well as keeping an eye out for potential buses in my area. I plan on buying and converting a bus before the start of the 2020 summer when I will begin a tour of North America. I have been targeting short buses and have mostly found 6.0 Fords (too many issues), and the chevy vortec/ chevy duramax. I recently found a 2009 Chevy Vortec that looks very clean and well maintained:

What are your guys thoughts on this bus. I love the lower miles and the lack of rust/ issues (according to the guy, I will obviously check). I believe I can get him down to 6k. This is slightly higher then many of the buses I have looked at but for a 2009 with 56k miles that seems like a good deal! If any one has a bus similar to this let me know what your experience has been like/ problems/ gas mileage.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

I see no issues with it. The 6.0 is relatively problem free compared to some of your other options in the shorty platform.

8k seems high to me, but most shorties do that so it might just be me.

Yup. The GM 6.0L gas engine is a very good engine.
