77 international factory wiring problem

We bought our conversion about 2 months ago and all of the electric guages on the dash do not work( gas ,temp, oil pressure). We found a broken buss bar and thought that was the problem, but with a new one installed this weekend found out it isn't. Checked the wire that hooks to the buss bar from the gas guage and there wasn't any electricity. Ran a 12 volt wire right to this post and it seemed to work although not quite right. My question is where do I start to troubleshoot this and find my problem.

If you haven't already...check your grounds. I'm sure someone will chime in with more experience. That's where I'd start.

Best of luck!
Ben.
