Any guesses on drivetrain?

Hi, I'm looking at purchasing a 2004 cat c7 8 window bus. Its been kept up really well but the seller doesn't know what transmission is in it. Any guesses? I'm in hilly BC so I need a good transmission.

My best guess would be a 2000 or 3000 series.

Both good transmissions.

Now you just need to find a good engine to go with it...

Haha! I've read bad things about the c7 but mostly only when it hasn't had the proper maintenance kept up. Major engine failure at 500,000 but theres also one for sale in Alberta with nearly 2,000,000km! Am I missing something else? My step dad (long haul trucker of many years) likes that engine!
