Thank you so much for posting. I was on their website yesterday and decided that this will be a top priority for our bus (be great if we can do it before we buy). Might have our race car checked out also.

Tex, could the high iron in the trans be from the drain plug itself? Just a thought. Thanks for posting this info, it is nice to "know" what your oil is doing!

I thought about doing this a while back but just got lazy. I found out about oil analysis from a maintenance foreman many years ago. When dealing with construction equipment, I guess a $50k engine is not uncommon.

BigTex, now you have a base line you can compare future analysis' to.

25 bucks for a test isn't too bad, but add it to 5 gals. of oil and a filter, or two --ouch!

2000 for a bus, 100 for an oil change, 3000 for tires. Bus'n ain't really cheap, is it?
