Brush type fender flare
I'm hoping somebody can "google that for me" better than I've done for myself..
I've seen buses equipped with a kind of bristle or brush strip that wraps around the tire. It installs on the side of the body where a fender flare would go, and the tips of the bristles lightly brush on the shoulder of the tire as it turns. These minimize water and mud spray from the tires to keep the side of the bus clean and improve visibility for vehicles following behind. I suppose they do a better job of it than the ordinary rubber flares do since they contact the tire.
Does anybody know what these are called? I've tried several times today to find such a thing online, but keep coming up empty.
