Engine identification

I have a 1969 gm 950 series school bus with a small block v8. How do I identify wether it is a 366 ?

If it's a small block, it's not a 366. The 366 was a big block.

X2, 366 is a big block... Use google to pull up some images...

the block has numbers cast into it on the driverside ontop where the bell housing bolts to(not the heads) ie: 3970010 then you can look these numbers up, or post them here and we can identify it
