FE Coach with manual trans

Does anybody here have an FE coach with a manual trans? I know they are kind of rare.

I'd like to see pics of how it is set up if anybody has some. Hopefully!

You need to be much more specific.

Do you mean a dog nose bus, or a flat nose bus?

Yes dog nose buses can be found with 5, 6, and 7 speed manual trans.

No flat noses use manual trans.

One out of every 25 buses with a auto trans, one will be ordered with a manual.

This is sadly due to lazy drivers.

Flat nose. I saw a video of a 94 tc2000 fe with a manual.

Don't know it it was real or not but I also read that the tc2000s were available with 5 speed sticks until 1995.

I trust it to be true that you could order them that way.

I have never seen one.

The shifter would be a long way back. Long clutch linkages.

I bid on a flat front Bluebird with a manual in Washington state. That is the only one I have seen.

My company used to have a few early 90's Bluebird AA FEs with manual transmissions, however it was years ago and I recall hearing that they were converted to automatics.

I'd love to see a photo of a shifter setup in a flatnose FE bus.

I imagine it'd be something similar to that of a cabover semi. So I don't think it'd be too revolutionary.

Well this is going on my todo list, if I end up with a flatnose.

More complicated crap between the shifter and the trans, and long clutch linkages.

As much as I love my manual transmissions in my cars, no thanks in a flat nose bus.

Stuff is cramped and hard enough to get to under there without adding more stuff.
