Help! Door jam
I have a short bus with a Thomas Built chassis. Yesterday, we latched the dog leash through the door latch and when it started to rain a bit, someone closed the bus door. now of course it will not open or fully close as it is obviously locked onto the metal clip at the end of the dog leash.
We tried cutting the wire lead from the leash hoping the metal hook would fall through but no dice.
I'm thinking the door panel will have to be removed? Or that I'll just have to pay someone to fix the problem.
Suggestions?

For me that's kind of hard to visualize how that got stuck. Got a camera?

thank you for offering to assist! much thanks. but it's all good. turns out it just needed some man power LOL. a couple of strong guys were able to force it open. yay!!! and the end of a dog leash, you know the metal part that latches? you pull it open with your thumb and hook it to their collar? that little metal doo-ma-flagee was stuck in the door latch. but yay for man power!

"doo-ma-flagee" -- NO MORE TECHNICAL TERMS, please. It's hard enough trying to understand Bus-ese.

First bus issue I've heard of involving a dog leash. Yeah, brute force usually works.
More doo-ma-flagees get ruined that way.
Glad it worked out. I lock myself out of my bus another clever way. I'll crank up during the winter, go outside to clean the windows, then the air builds up and closes the door. Duh!

I've done that, too. Last time it happened, I used the window scraper to push open the air valve.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you're dealing with an electrical problem.

I thought that's why they made plastic hammers? For electrical.

absolutely a Jayhawk fan, bigtime. Graduated from KU in 2010 (at the age of 43), a year after my eldest daughter graduated from same. She's married to an MU fan. I enjoy buying their kids KU gear LOL
