Need a small diesel engine as a Kubota for a project. Riding lawn mower would be OK. Engone needed must make 20-24HP and have hydrostat trans.
Water cooled preferred. Frank Idaho

I've been looking for a smaller diesel motor as well. To put into a motorcycle frame and run it on veggie. It's seems to be difficult to find a 20-60hp diesel engine. Seen some but hella expensive.

Ebay is da place for small diesel engines. A complete running lawn mower or tractor is about $650-2200. The water cooled engines are more but new the cost is above $5K and up. I hope to use all the parts. One other consideration is cost of getting machine to the shop.. Frank

a 4 cylinder 1.6 litre vw diesel engine might be your cheapest and best bet. I found a running vw that i've been driving for some months now for $400. I can't immagine it weighs much, and they are physically pretty small.

Guess who won the Kubota engine? I thank ya old dog. That is the engine I have been seeking. Thanks. The engine is in So Ca and shipping is about $275 or so. Gotta decide if the trip is worth the ride. Frank
